There will be a shuttle to whisk you from the ceremony at Cox Beach to the reception at Shore Pier! We’ve also locked down a shuttle to get you safely back to your hotel or Airbnb when the party’s over.

We’d love for you to join us dressed in semi-formal attire.

For the guys: A suit or blazer with dress pants will do the trick.
For the ladies: A midi-length cocktail dress will be perfect.

Since we’re saying "I do" on the beach, block heels or wedges are your best bet to keep you from sinking in the sand!

There is public parking as you turn into Cox Bay Beach Resort, and also at Maltby Road. We also have some guest parking at Tourism Tofino, which is just across the street from Pacific Sands. The ceremony location is all the way on the right side of the beach.

A shoey is the ancient Australian tradition of drinking an alcoholic beverage from a shoe. It is often done to celebrate a win or milestone, such as a wedding.

How it’s done:

1. The drinker removes their shoe or chooses a friend’s shoe.
2. The shoe is tilted and a beverage is poured into it.
3. The shoe is tipped up to the mouth and the contents are consumed.
